Beyonce Raises Money To Support Flint Water Crisis

While slaying all over the country bringing audiences into formation, Beyonce also raised $82,234 to help support Flint Michigan water crisis. The philanthropist singer gave fans the option to donate while purchasing a tickets to the ” Formation Tour.”

According to ,A check for the money was presented by Parkwood Entertainment, Beyoncé’s management company, to the United Way of Genesee County at a Detroit high school Monday, according to a press release. “We are so grateful for the support Beyoncé has given to those in Flint and the way she has inspired her fans to fight for the education, health and financial stability of everyone in their communities,” said Stacey D. Stewart, the U.S. President of United Way Worldwide. “This partnership demonstrates just how easy it can be to give back.”

Beyoncé amongst other artists like Cher, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Big Sean, and Meek Mill, are just a few of many who began raising money to support Flint. Her charitable efforts continued as she awarded 14 local high schoolers with “college gifts” in advance of the Detroit show to help cover their educational costs. All 14 recipients also received free tickets to the concert.
